Palestinian Girl Arrives in Turkey for Major Operation

This week, PCRF sent four-year old Zaina from Bethlehem with her family toTurkey to start treatment for a liver transplant which was not available to her in Palestine. The girl was born with Alagille syndrome, a genetic condition that causes liver damage.

Zaina requires a liver transplant to save her life and her mother is the expected donor. PCRF launched a campaign to raise the funds necessary to send the girl and family to Koc University Hospital in Turkey, where today Zaina and her mother underwent further testing to prepare for the surgery.
