
Last week 12-year-old Mariam from Ramallah was sent with her mother to Cincinnati for surgery. She was born with a complicated condition called tracheal stenosis, which cannot be treated in Palestine. In 2009 an American pediatric surgeon from on a PCRF medical mission determined her condition was too complicated to be treated in Palestine. On May 18, Mariam underwent the first round of surgery at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where she will remain throughout the week.
