PCRF's 4th Amputee Summer Camp in the Gaza Strip
PCRF's 4th Amputee Summer Camp in the Gaza Strip

This week, PCRF launched our 4th annual gathering of all of the children in Gaza who are amputees. "Camp Ability" provides psychological, social, and educational support for Gaza's 120 children who lost limbs as a result of wars, birth defects, or accidents. The camp is led by ten amputees previously treated by PCRF and participated in past camps but now work as humanitarian field workers. Camp Ability is part of the PCRF's efforts to provide medical, psychological, and social support to the most needy children in Palestine and the region and to promote treatment and rehabilitation opportunities for those who have lost limbs due to wars and other accidents. PCRF launched this camp, the first and only of its kind in the Middle East, in July 2019, as part of our 30-year mission to provide medical and humanitarian care to sick and wounded children in Palestine and refugees in the Middle East, regardless of politics or religion.
