This week, Dr. Stefano Di Bernardo, a Pediatric Cardiologist from Lausanne, Switzerland, returned for his fourth volunteer mission to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah. He is providing interventional care in the PMC catheterization lab and working with local cardiologist Dr. Rula Awad from Bethlehem to help provide life-saving cardiac care for children with congenital heart disease.

Dr. Di Bernardo is also part of a larger volunteer surgery team providing open-heart surgery for children with heart disease. Dr. Di Bernanado has provided dozens of Palestinian children cardiac care they otherwise would not get locally.
