Five-year-old Yazan, who lost his leg last month from a bombing, is visited by PCRF's staff

On May 24, the remote village in northern Gaza of Um Al-Nasr was hit by artillery shells, killing five people and wounding twenty-five.  Among those wounded was 5-year-old Yazan, who lost his left leg.  His uncle was killed and his father was also injured during those bombing.  Yazan's leg was amputated in Egypt and the boy is back home in Gaza, where suffers from the psychological impact of his injury.   Despite this, his beautiful smile tells us a new story of hope. Today, our team visited him start helping him get the medical and mental health care he needs to start walking and improve his psychology.  PCRF is the main nonprofit in the world sending injured kids like Yazan abroad for free medical care.
